This photo is inspired by the little girl I once was...

I grew up surrounded by love, animals, a farm, and a big family. Without even knowing it, I was growing up in an environment that reflected many of the values of the Reggio Emilia approach—connection with nature, animals, family, creativity, exploration, and learning through real-life experiences.

 

As the years went by, I became a professional teacher and was introduced to the Reggio Emilia approach.
The moment I discovered it, something felt deeply familiar. It connected with the way I had experienced childhood, and in many ways, it felt like finding a part of myself again.

It was like rediscovering the little girl I once was and realizing that the experiences that shaped my childhood had always been a part of the educator I would become.

 

Today, as a mother and as the founder of Bambi Spanish Immersion, I want to create that same feeling for the children in my care.

I want them to feel loved, safe, connected, and surrounded by warmth—even during those moments when their parents are working.

I want Bambi to feel like a little home away from home, where children can grow surrounded by love, nature, animals, creativity, meaningful experiences, and the freedom to explore the world around them.

Because sometimes, the things we experience as children quietly become the foundation of who we are meant to become.
